As a canine professional in canine behaviour and training, I'm here to guide you through the process, aiming for the best possible resolution. 

I can help if your dogs behaviour called into question, you need a comprehensive dog behaviour assessment / report or as an expert witness in court if needed. i can also help you should your dog have bitten, or be suspected of having bitten, someone in a public area, on your property, or if your pet has been taken under the Dangerous Dog Act, I can assist with a I've successfully helped many dogs avoid destruction or ASBO orders.

I have served as a canine expert witness at the request of clients, solicitors, police forces, welfare organizations, child adoption and fostering agencies, and courts. My approach is collaborative and professional, ensuring effective cooperation with various professionals in my field. I have conducted numerous dog assessments for social services, as well as fostering and adoption organizations. How to get the ball rolling.

 

1. Contact
After you or your solicitor will reach out to me to share a summary of the case information. I will then, where necessary, offer initial advice on the best actions to take.

2. Quotation
I will provide a fee proposal for approval, applicable to both private and Legal Aid cases. 

3. Legal Instructions
You or your solicitor will send me written legal instructions along with all relevant evidence for the case, which may include photos, videos, medical reports, character references for the dog, and witness statements.

4. Dog Assessment
I will conduct an assessment of your dog in various settings, including your home, public locations, or arranged secure police facilities and dog kennels, in collaboration with the appropriate police force and dog legislation officer. This assessment may focus on either temperament or breed type identification. During the home assessment, I will offer guidance to ensure the safety of the public and, when necessary, provide further recommendations to address behavioural issues related to the case.

5. Behaviour
Report I will compile a comprehensive written report, accompanied by a high-quality SD card if needed that documents my interactions with both the dog and its owner. This method of presenting evidence has proven to be very effective and persuasive in court, often preventing the dog from being destroyed in many cases.

6. Point of Contact
I serve as the liaison among the police, solicitors, and the dog owner, facilitating the integration of all pertinent information in support of the dog and owner’s defense.

7. Court Attendance
Should the case proceed to court, I will appear as a Dog Expert Witness, providing testimony to support the written report.
